The Oregon Program Evaluation Network (OPEN) had a problem, they just didn’t know it. The solution we created brought benefits they hadn’t even considered.
The impetus for the website redesign came from a simple problem: everyone was frustrated with the membership management system in place. Among many problems, memberships had an inflexible due dates: December 31 of the year in which the membership was started. We overhauled their membership management system, getting rid of the external system and incorporating it into the new website. Not only did members find the new system far easier to use, it was also easier for OPEN staff to track memberships. Membership in OPEN grew 160% in the first year of the new system.
